The organisers of Nocturne, the four-day concert series that takes place at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, have today announced that Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter and Corinne Bailey Rae will perform at the event on Saturday June 17th. The trio of award-winning singers, who have sold over 15 million albums between them, will all perform full sets on the night drawing on songs from across their extensive back catalogues.
Whilst Cullum makes his first return to Blenheim Palace since his career-defining, sell-out concert in 2004, Porter, who was awarded the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album at this week’s ceremony, returns following his show with Van Morrison at the first Nocturne in 2015 and Bailey Rae will make her debut at the world heritage site fresh off the back of a global tour in 2016.
The Nocturne concert series, which last year featured performances from Elton John, Jack Savoretti, Ennio Morricone and The Corrs, runs from June 15th to 18th and Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter and Corinne Bailey Rae join The Jacksons and Kool & The Gang (Sunday 18th) and award-winning composer Max Richter (Friday 16th) on this year’s bill.
Tickets for the Saturday night start at £45 and are on sale at 9am on Thursday February 16th.
The current line-up for Nocturne 2017 is as follows:
